Delhi has beautiful
gardens around the city.
Children's Park
Situated near India Gate,
this is a favorite picnic site for Delhi families. cotton candy,
popcorn, peanuts and ice cream from street vendors add to its attraction
for kids. The parkas swings, slides, a jungle gym and on aquarium.
India Gate Lawns
Ideal for quiet walks contemplating life, the traffic, and your luck at
not having kids to drog to the parks across the road. The beautiful lake
alongside gives you an opportunity to appreciate nature through booting.
Lodi Gardens
A huge park frequented by joggers and amorous young couples. But the
size of the park makes it possible for them to coexist peacefully with
the many families picnicking. The garden is laid out around the
beautiful tombs of the Lodi and Sayyid sultans who ruled North India in
the 15th and the 16th century.
Walking in parks
Pleasant gardens or parks surround most of the ancient and modem
monuments in the city. In today's traffic clogged capital, they make
delightful lung spaces. The parks are safe in the day, but don't
interact with strangers beyond common courtesies.
Mughal Gardens
Surrounded by the beautiful flowers, magnificent trees and impeccably
manicured lawns, Mughal Ghardens is situated behind the Rashtrapati
Bhavan and is open to the public in the third week of February.
